Guitar strap lock installation instructions

Click on the pictures for a larger view

You will need strap locks (we are using Schaller in this demonstration) a Phillips screwdriver, combination or open end wrench and a strap.

Using your screwdriver, remove your existing strap buttons from your guitar.

Remove the nut and washer from your new strap locks.

These are the four parts of the strap lock system.

Using the screwdriver, install the new button onto your guitar.

Insert the strap lock housing into the hole in the strap.

Place the strap lock washer onto the strap lock housing.

Thread the nut onto the strap lock housing.

Tighten the nut with the combination or open end wrench.

Pull the tip of the strap lock release then slide the strap lock into the button.  When you let go of the tip of the strap lock release it will lock in place.

Repeat this process with the second strap lock button and you are finished.

All Done!
